Begin your Happily Ever After

Many of the couples that we work with choose to work with a planner because they are trying to make the most of their budgets. Very often they are also saving to purchase a house or condo at the same time as the wedding. For the first time home buyer, the process can seem a little overwhelming. Having someone you trust to walk you through the process and help you find the perfect home makes the experience so much easier. For that, I'd like to introduce you to Michael Rosenberger and his company, Happily Ever After Realty, which helps individuals buy, sell or rent properties in Nassau, Suffolk and the Five Boroughs. He's a friend, a colleague, and a very talented lawyer and real estate broker. I've asked him some questions below to help you get to know a little more about how he can help.

Tell me a little about your professional background and what you do?
My name is Michael Rosenberger and I am an attorney and licensed real estate broker. I went to St. John’s University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in English and Sociology. I went on to obtain my law degree from St. John’s School of Law. I have been practicing law since 2005. I was recently appointed a New York State Arbitrator but also have my own practice where I handle real estate transactions, estate planning and a number of other practice areas.

Why should an engaged couple enlist your services?
I created Happily Ever after Realty with the intention of helping individuals save money as they begin their lives together. You just spent a small fortune on a beautiful wedding that will not be forgotten, but now you need a place to begin your Happily Ever After. The purchase of a home is no small investment, and the process can be extremely frustrating. However, I have been there and my guidance can aid couples through the process. We make it easy. We do all of the research and we schedule open houses around their schedule. Also, because I am an attorney I possess years of negotiation experience so I can help couples get the best possible price.

Will working with you save a couple money? If so, how much on average?
Yes! I am fortunate enough to offer all of my clients a substantial savings when they allow me to represent them. The most important thing to understand is that when you are buying a home being represented by an agent costs you absolutely nothing as the buyer. The seller is responsible to pay the broker fees to both the buyer and the seller. If the couple is not represented by an agent then the entire commission goes to the broker hired by the seller. Having a buyer agent requires the other agent to split the commission. I reduce my commission by .5% in order ensure the deal goes through and save the client money. So, on a transaction where a house is worth $500,000.00 I would save the couple $2,500.00 just for letting me represent them. It is a win-win for the homebuyer. The savings is based upon the value of the home. However, it is always a substantial savings when you are just beginning your life together and it is our pleasure to offer this to our clients. No other agency will offer this to its clients.
