Renaissance Event Hall

Last week I had the pleasure to meet with Teresa Lisson, General Manager and Partner at Renaissance Event Hall in Astoria, Queens. Having grown up in Astoria, about 5 blocks from the venue, I must have passed it by a million times in the ten years since it opened. But lately, I’ve been hearing a lot about Renaissance – from couples, from event attendees, and from other industry professionals. The word is – this place is amazing. So I took note, visited, and have to say, I agree!

Looking for a venue that offers the exclusivity of one event at a time? Check. Award winning interior design? Check. Conveniently located near all five boroughs? Offers on premise catering, or allows you to bring in an outside caterer? Check! Check!

This venue can currently accommodate up to 300 guests, and has updated sound and lighting, which makes it perfect for a social event, corporate event, or even entertainment event.  I was surprised and delighted to discover that not only do they include the choice of silver or gold chargers as part of your event; they also give you a selection of 25 different table linens. 25. Not 3. I’m impressed.

Renaissance has also recently purchased part of the building next door. Construction is underway for a significant expansion, which will allow the hall to accommodate another 150 guests, add a bridal suite, and allow for an intimate outdoor space for ceremonies and other outdoor affairs.

You can take a virtual tour on their website, http://www.renaissanceeventhall.com/, but even better – come to their “Wow the Bride” event on February 28th. You’ll be able to tour the venue, taste the food, and meet with some of their top vendors – including Cloud Nove Events!  Admission is free, but registration is required. You can get your tickets here http://wowthebride.eventbrite.com/.
