What better way to celebrate this week than with a winter white wedding? There’s a warmth in winter white that is so much more rich and inviting the plain white… totally makes me want to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa. Alright, so here we go:
I adore the color combo of light grey/silver and winter white. I LOVE that Veluz dress on the right… it’s like there are snowflakes just sewn right into the dress (without looking like it’s for a winter beauty pageant). Having a fur stole creates glorious pictures, and having men in black tuxes with bouts in beautiful, muted tones will really make them stand out.
As for décor, just because it’s winter doesn't mean you just need branches and glitter. You can adorn the table with snowflakes like the one at the bottom (a recent bride actually had her flower girls toss snowflakes on the aisle runner and it was just gorgeous), and use silver mercury glass votives to add some interest. I also found these beautiful 3-D glass snowflake ornaments which can be used as favors or place card holders (important note: I’m not saying to use EVERY snowflake idea at once- that will be overkill- but choose one or two memorable touches that you really like).
For food, I like the idea of a winter white dessert bar. It’s amazing how gorgeous these displays can look. Treats like white macarons, vanilla bean cupcakes, white chocolate mint truffles, or a towering croquembouche will keep your guests happy, and having a hot chocolate bar (with wonderful additions like cinnamon sticks, over-sized marshmallows, and liquors like amaretto and bailey’s) will keep them warm as well.
