From intern Beth:
On Wednesday, I attended the New York Wedding Event at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Midtown. It was a very well organized event even with over 100 vendors and easily 6 times that attending. The vendors were pleasant and did not off give an in-your-face salesperson vibe that I have seen at other trade shows. I was excited to see vendor that offered new services and products, like Hitchswitch, a name-changing service and Elan Artists, a cooperative of musicians, photographers and dancers. My one bit of advice for the 2013 expo would be to place DJs in different areas. There were a couple of corners where it sounded like DJs were battling against each other for passerby attention. I received lots of information and ate a lot of delicious food. My favorites were Naturally Delicious and The Upper Crust (They also are a venue.) I consider it a success!
